The State Government has announced an update to a handful of school zones across metro Melbourne, meaning Riverfield families will have a new local primary and secondary school!
From next year, residents enrolling their children in primary school will be zoned for Clyde North Station Primary School (interim name). That’s instead of the current Ramleigh Park Primary School. And for those starting high school, Clyde North Station Secondary School (interim name) will become the local school option for year 7 students. Additional year levels will join progressively after the school’s first year of operation, which is set for term 1, 2022.
Construction for both schools is currently underway, and principals have recently been appointed for each institution. Jodie Bray will come onboard for Clyde North Station Primary School, bringing 19 years of experience in education to the role. Konnie Prades has been appointed to Clyde North Station Secondary College, coming from her previous role as principal of Lyndhurst Secondary College.
An official name for each school will also be confirmed in the coming months after community consultation wrapped up in June. So, watch this space for the announcement!
