At Riverfield, we’re excited about Clyde’s transformation into a vibrant and thriving suburb within the City of Casey. There are some pretty incredible things on the way, with funding recently secured for vital projects and work proposed to commence shortly on a brand new local convenience centre, to be located within the original Riverfield precinct!

Farm Gate Local Convenience Centre

Located at the gateway of our community, on the corner of Riverland and Ballarto Road, and developed by Oreana Property, will be a modern and convenient shopping precinct for Riverfield residents and the wider Clyde community to enjoy.

The future local convenience centre will comprise 14 retail and commercial tenancies including a supermarket, medical centre, gym, food and beverage outlets, restaurants and speciality shops, along with ample parking. Bordering Farm Gate Local will also be an Aspire operated Childcare Centre, which will be able to accommodate 146 places.

The latest timings from Oreana have construction commencing in quarter three this year, and expected to complete in 2025. Stay tuned for more updates!

New Local Schools

Education is a cornerstone of any thriving community, and Clyde is no exception. With the City of Casey prioritising the development of new schools and educational facilities, our suburb is well-equipped to support the growing number of families moving into the area.

New institutions, like Ballarto Road Primary School (Interim Name), will ensure high-quality education is available close to home for our residents, complementing existing schools in the area like Clyde Secondary College.

The addition of these schools not only enhances the appeal of Clyde but also ensures that our community’s future generations have access to excellent educational opportunities.

Enhanced Public Transport Connectivity

To support our growing population plans are also in place to enhance public transport connectivity in Clyde.

Recently, an extension of the Route 831 bus service was announced, with $23,670,000 allocated thanks to the State Government’s Growth Areas Infrastructure Contribution (GAIC) fund.

Improvements like this to local bus services and the potential extension of rail lines will make commuting easier and more convenient for Riverfield residents. These enhancements will not only improve access to essential services and employment opportunities but also contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way of living.

Great things are on the horizon in Clyde, and we’re thrilled that Riverfield residents get a front row seat! With all this (and much more) happening, our community in the southeast is set for an even brighter future.
