Winter is no time for hibernation when you have a community to bring to life! Our team has been braving the cold mornings of late, working very hard to progress each stage at Riverfield. There’s a lot to catch up on so we’ll just dive right in!
Stages 1 and 2 have officially progressed to the road preparation phase of construction. Otherwise known as ‘Road Boxing & Base’, this is where the streets and thoroughfares of our community start to take shape. Here, the roads are boxed out and service crossings are installed. Then the road bases, which are built from densely compacted layers of crushed rock, are completed. These layers are integral to the strength of all future roads within the neighbourhood.
In the coming months, water, gas and retaining wall works will also commence for Stages 1 and 2. This will involve the connection of water, recycled water and gas pipes to each lot, including all trunk and reticulation services. Retaining walls will be constructed where required to manage surface level changes and provide suitable lots for houses to be constructed on.
Lastly, sewer and stormwater works are scheduled for Stage 4. This will provide sanitation services to each lot, including stormwater pipes and pits to allow the safe draining of all stormwater away from future homes.
