After a brief hibernation, the City of Casey Winter Arts Festival is back this June!

Running from 18 June until 22 July, the festival will offer a glittering program of free and ticketed events catering for all ages. Think performances, events, workshops, film screenings and exhibitions. Plus, the much-loved Open Studios weekend will also make a triumphant return, with artists across Casey and Cardinia throwing open their doors to give a behind the scenes glimpse of their artistic process.

Another highlight of this year’s festivities is Orbital at Bunjil Place. The out of this world event features a 10 day phase of interstellar events and activities to celebrate the arrival of Museum of the Moon. This giant replica of the Earth’s Moon by artist Luke Jerram will be the centrepiece of the festival, and is set to be unveiled at a launch party on Friday 25 June.

Orbital will also offer a great range of kids activities perfect to keep little ones entertained over the winter holidays.

Now in its nineteenth year, the Winter Arts Festival shines an important light on the vibrant culture of the City of Casey. And, since the festival was cancelled last year during the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to get involved and show support for the local arts community. This year’s program is set to be spectacular, so start planning your event schedule now!
