Education is so important and for many parents who’ve chosen to call Riverfield home, being close by to quality schools in Clyde has been a huge deciding factor.
A growing need
Having grown to over 300,000 people in the last four years, the City of Casey is only set to grow further as more families seek to find their home in this flourishing corridor. To cater for this, the Victorian Government has committed to delivering 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, some of which are located right here in Clyde!
Naturally, we all want a great education for our kids. These new schools will provide that, help ease enrolment pressures in the area and meet future demand from our growing population.
Education for all ages
Most recently, the designs for the new Clyde Grammar P-12 school have been revealed. The co-educational, non-denominational school is planned to open within a local Clyde North estate by 2022. Construction is set to commence in 2021 with foundation, year 1 and 2 students expected to start in February 2022 once stage one is complete. This will include a two-storey primary centre, library, play areas and more.
Your local school
Even closer to Riverfield, the transformation of Clyde Primary School is one step closer to becoming a reality with the State Government securing a site to expand the school! The $22.8 million expansion will include a new junior school building, administration building and sports facilities including a new gymnasium, soccer field and two new hard courts. The makeover will also extend to the existing school buildings with a brand new library, specialist art, STEM and music areas and much more.
This will be an invaluable addition to Riverfield’s local primary school and very exciting news for future families in our community. The sparkling new Clyde Primary School is expected to open in 2022 and will cater for 525 students once completed. We cannot wait to see the finished product!
